eNACSO IV Kick off Meeting – Rome, 26-27 February 2015
January 12, 2016The eNACSO IV Kick Off Meeting held on 26-27 February 2015 in Rome.
The main purpose of the meeting was to examine the transition between the two projects, to present the results achieved under eNACSO III and to formally open up eNACSO IV.We here illustrated the outcomes resulting from the Advocacy Strategy carried out under the Policy Paper on Business, Children and the Internet as well as the possible scenarios for the national dissemination of the Child Friendly version of the document.
Furthemore, we have explored new topics related to the Policy Paper and in particular to Privacy and Data Protection. Under the general session under the heading ‘Cloud and Big Data’, experts have provided us with an overlook on the cyberspace by giving us interesting information on the emerging technologies and on the more global Regulation and jurisdiction.
The event was also aimed to broaden the discussion on the topic “young people, sexualization new media” tackled during previous meeting. The expert in charge has briefed us on mid-term findings resulting from the research that helped us to consider this issue from different perspectives, including the educational one.
We’ve finally talked over the expectations for the future of eNACSO, allowing room for a general debate on which measures are likely to be taken to ensure the Sustainability of the Project beyond the EU funding.
In compliance with formal requirements we’ve finally nominated the components of the new Board entitled to be leading the Network in the next future up to the end of the Project.
The event gathered 28 participants in total: 18 representatives of members\associates NGOs; 7 experts and representatives of the academia; 3 people from the eNACSO secretariat.
